U.S. Representative Summer Lee, who represents Pennsylvania’s 12th district in Congress, has recently posted a series of messages on social media addressing issues ranging from Haitian Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders to local labor unions.

On April 16, 2026, Lee highlighted the importance of Haitian TPS holders in her community and acknowledged legislative efforts supporting them. She wrote, “Haitian TPS holders are essential members of our community. They are business owners, faith leaders, caregivers, and more. I’m proud to see @RepPressley’s successful efforts to get this legislation on the floor and extend TPS to protect our Haitian neighbors.”

The following day, April 17, Lee addressed Secretary Kennedy directly with a brief message: “.@SecKennedy, this you?”

On April 18, Lee congratulated transit union groups for holding their first conference in Western Pennsylvania. She stated: “Congratulations to the @ATUComm and ATU Local 85 for an incredible first conference held right here in Western PA! I’m proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with the workers who keep our communities moving every single day in the fight for real investments, protections, and the”

Summer Lee began serving as a U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania’s 12th district in 2023 after replacing Mike Doyle. Prior to her congressional tenure, she served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2019 through 2022. Born in Pittsburgh in 1987 and currently residing in Swissvale at age 35, Lee holds a BA from Pennsylvania State University and earned her JD from Howard University.
