The National Hockey League (NHL), along with the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) and Live Nation, has announced the 2025 NHL Global Series Sweden. This event will feature two regular-season games between the Nashville Predators and Pittsburgh Penguins at Avicii Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, scheduled for November 14 and November 16.

The matches are part of the NHL's ongoing efforts to expand its international presence. "The 2025 NHL Global Series will be the 15th NHL season to include regular-season games outside North America," stated the organizers. The series marks a return to Sweden for the league, continuing its focus on global outreach following the success of previous international events.

Game times are set for Friday, November 14 at 8 p.m. CET and Sunday, November 16 at 3 p.m. CET. Tickets will first be available during Hockey Day in Sweden in Linköping from March 21-22. Further ticket sales through presales begin on March 25, followed by public sales starting March 26 via livenation.se.

For Sidney Crosby and his team, this will be their first overseas game since participating in the NHL Premiere Series against Ottawa Senators in 2008. "The Penguins roster is currently comprised of top talent from across the world," including three Swedish players: Emil Bemstrom, Erik Karlsson, and Rickard Rakell.

The Predators last played abroad during the 2022 NHL Global Series Czechia against San Jose Sharks in Prague. Their roster features key players such as Filip Forsberg from Sweden alongside other international talents like Roman Josi from Switzerland.

Sweden remains a significant market for hockey outside North America; it contributes a substantial number of players to the league—9.7 percent this season were born there. Since its inception in 1997, there have been numerous games staged internationally by NHL teams.

Avicii Arena recently reopened after extensive renovations and is set to host these upcoming games—the first since reopening—and bring Stockholm’s total hosted NHL regular-season games up to eighteen.

Sweden was one among four nations represented by players during last month’s highly viewed best-on-best tournament known as '4 Nations Face-Off,' which included Canada, Finland, and U.S., achieving record viewership numbers globally while surpassing previous merchandise sales records seen at World Cup Of Hockey back In ’16.

Further details regarding both matches can be accessed through various online platforms dedicated specifically towards keeping fans updated about any developments related directly or indirectly concerning ‘2025 nhl global series sweden presented fastenal’.
