In a recent segment of the "Asked and Answered" series, several queries from fans about the Pittsburgh Steelers were addressed. Robert Yeager from Canyon Country, CA inquired about the possibility of honoring the gold shoulder pad uniforms worn by the Steelers in the past. While specific decisions regarding throwback jerseys remain undisclosed, an account of these unique uniforms was shared. The uniforms, featuring a gold triangle design inspired by Pittsburgh's "Golden Triangle," were used briefly in the 1960s but faced practical challenges, such as color bleeding during washing.

Mark Thompson from Huntington, WV sought confirmation on social media claims regarding Hines Ward's induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Unfortunately, it was confirmed that Ward was not elected as part of the Class of 2025. Wide receivers among the Modern-Era finalists included Torry Holt, Steve Smith Sr., and Reggie Wayne; however, none were elected this year.

Jeff Weller from Columbus, OH expressed frustration over Sterling Sharpe's Hall of Fame induction over Hines Ward despite Ward's superior career statistics. It was clarified that Sharpe was elected as a Seniors Candidate due to his significant impact during his shortened career.

Keith Miller from Canton, NC posed a question about scoring rules concerning touchdowns scored as time expires at the end of a quarter. The response clarified that points after touchdowns are untimed downs and are recorded with the touchdown itself.

Peter Hammerer from Baltimore, MD requested clarification on draft picks for the upcoming season. The Steelers will have seven picks: one in each of the first five rounds and two in the seventh round.

Andrew Scherbik from Portsmouth, VA asked about other Hall of Fame players drafted in 1974 besides notable Steelers players. TE Dave Casper was identified as another player drafted that year who achieved Hall of Fame status.

George Taylor from Irwin, PA raised questions about next year's NFL salary cap and trade regulations involving high-cap-hit players. While no official announcement has been made regarding next year's salary cap, it's expected around late February based on previous years' timelines. Teams can negotiate to absorb parts of salaries when trading players.

Brent Corley from Louisville, KY speculated on potential drafting strategies for positions like wide receiver and defensive lineman given current team needs. It's suggested that serious consideration be given to drafting defensive linemen with premium picks while also addressing wide receiver depth.

Fred Myers from Morgantown, WV queried why the NFL Draft is limited to seven rounds compared to previous years with more rounds. The reduction came through negotiations between owners and players aiming for better job security for veterans and higher wages tied to free agency and salary caps.

Peggy Hayman from Syracuse, NY asked if there would be any packages available for an upcoming game in Ireland involving the Steelers. Details are provided on how to stay updated through official channels.

Kevan McGuire from Isle of Whithorn, Scotland sought information about tickets for a regular-season game in Dublin involving the Steelers scheduled for 2025. Ticket details will be announced by NFL later this offseason with updates available via Steelers.com or their FAQ page.
