Pittsburgh Review

After facing one of the NFL's most challenging schedules in 2024, the Pittsburgh Steelers are set for a slightly less demanding season in 2025. Their upcoming schedule ranks as the 10th toughest based on opponents' .523 winning percentage from the previous season.

The Steelers will play seven games against teams that qualified for the postseason, including two matches against Baltimore. Four of these games will be played at home, while three will take place on the road.

In their AFC North division, the Steelers will face Baltimore (12-5), Cincinnati (9-8), and Cleveland (3-14) both home and away. The team went 3-3 in divisional games last season. Baltimore is the defending division champion, having defeated Pittsburgh in the AFC Super Wild Card playoffs.

Against AFC East opponents, Pittsburgh will host Buffalo Bills (13-4) and Miami Dolphins (8-9) while traveling to play New York Jets (5-12) and New England Patriots (4-13). The Steelers have historically performed well against these teams, especially at home.

For NFC North matchups, Pittsburgh hosts Minnesota Vikings (14-3) and Green Bay Packers (11-6) and travels to Detroit Lions (15-2) and Chicago Bears (5-12). The NFC North sent three teams to the postseason this year. The Steelers have had mixed success against these teams historically but hold favorable records at home.

As second-place finishers in their division, they also face second-place AFC West's Los Angeles Chargers (10-7) on the road and AFC South's Indianapolis Colts (8-9) at home. In 2024, they split results with these opponents.

Additionally, due to league scheduling rules for a 17-game season, Pittsburgh will host Seattle Seahawks (10-7), who were close contenders but missed playoff qualification last year. Historically, the Steelers have been successful against Seattle at home.
