The U.S. Steel Salute to Heroes recipient is United States Marine Corps Corporal Andy Peranick, who served during the Vietnam War and received two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for his actions in battle. He was surprised with a trip to the Super Bowl by Steelers legend Charlie Batch.

The community organization highlighted at this game is Steel Smiling, which aims to bridge gaps between Black community members and mental health support through education and advocacy.

High school champions from Central Catholic, Fort Cherry, and South Park will be honored alongside the 2024 Steelers All-Peer Team before the game begins.
