Rep. Summer Lee, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 12th district, shared a series of tweets addressing legislative achievements and social issues. Lee has been active in Congress since 2023, following her tenure in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2019 to 2022.

On November 21, 2024, Rep. Lee announced that the "Modernizing Data Practices to Improve Government Act" had passed unanimously through the Oversight Committee. She emphasized that this bipartisan bill aims to ensure federal agencies adopt AI responsibly and transparently, urging for action from the full House with her statement: "Our Modernizing Data Practices to Improve Government Act passed unanimously through the Oversight Committee! This bipartisan bill ensures federal agencies adopt AI responsibly & transparently. Now it’s time for the full House to act. Let’s get it done!"

The following day, on November 22, 2024, Rep. Lee addressed concerns about discrimination within the Visa Waiver Program alongside Rep. Bowman. They called upon Secretary Blinken and Secretary Mayorkas to hold Israel accountable for such practices with her tweet: "Discrimination under the Visa Waiver Program is unacceptable. @RepBowman and I are calling on @SecBlinken and @SecMayorkas to hold Israel accountable. Every U.S. citizen deserves equal treatment—no exceptions."

Later on November 22, Rep. Lee celebrated an important milestone for Neighbor Community Development Fund (NeighborCDF), highlighting its impact over 25 years in Western Pennsylvania by empowering underbanked communities and fostering equity with her post: "Celebrating 25 years of @NeighborCDF empowering the underbanked & overlooked in Western PA... This is what equity looks like in action."
