The Pittsburgh Steelers are gearing up for their training camp at Saint Vincent College, set to begin on July 23. As part of their preparations, the team is focusing on their wide receiver lineup.

The roster includes notable names such as DK Metcalf, Calvin Austin III, and Robert Woods. The Steelers recently traded George Pickens to Dallas for a 2026 third-round draft pick, which has placed Calvin Austin III in a prime position for a starting role alongside Metcalf.

Wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni expressed confidence in Austin’s abilities. “Everyone’s downplaying, underplaying our group right now,” Azzanni said at mini-camp. “I love it that way. I don’t want anyone looking at us anyway. It’ll be good.”

Robert Woods joins the team as a free agent. Despite being 33 years old, he brings experience and reliability to the field. Roman Wilson, who was limited last season due to injuries, will look to make an impact this year.

Ben Skowronek and Scotty Miller have both been re-signed after contributing significantly last season. Lance McCutcheon and Brandon Johnson are also part of the squad, having spent time on practice squads before joining the Steelers.

Roc Taylor and Ke’Shawn Williams were signed as undrafted rookies from Memphis and Indiana respectively, while Montana Lemonius-Craig joined later from Arizona.

The team’s need for additional receiver depth remains uncertain as they head into the new season under offensive coordinator Arthur Smith’s guidance.
