The Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers are set to face off in what has been dubbed the ‘Pennsylvania State Championship’ by Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin. The game, taking place at Lincoln Financial Field, promises to be a competitive matchup between two strong teams.

Tomlin expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming game, stating, “Excited about representing the WPIAL in this. I was just joking we could play this game in Breezewood. That’d be awesome.” He praised the Eagles, acknowledging their recent nine-game winning streak and noting their impressive performance on tape.

Eagles Coach Nick Sirianni shared similar respect for the Steelers, saying, “They’ve got good players, they’ve got good coaches, and you can see the culture they have is outstanding.” He highlighted the strengths of the Steelers’ defense led by players like T.J. Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Special teams coordinator Michael Clay commended Danny Smith’s long tenure with Pittsburgh: “Danny (Smith), been in the league for a long time. I think this is his 12th year with Pittsburgh. You see they play hard for him.” Clay acknowledged that special teams would be crucial in determining the outcome of Sunday’s game.

Eagles left tackle Jordan Mailata commented on facing the Steelers’ defensive line: “It’s going to be a great game. It’s going to be a great matchup.”

Coach Sirianni also discussed Russell Wilson’s current form: “I just know that he’s been good for a really long time. He’s playing really good football right now.”

Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio addressed strategies against Wilson: “It’s always a delicate balance… It will be very similar to what we just had a couple days ago.”

Quarterback Jalen Hurts emphasized the challenge posed by the Steelers’ defense: “They’ve got a great player over there in T.J. Watt and then Minkah (Fitzpatrick)… Their coach is amazing.”

The anticipation continues as fans gear up for this exciting clash between Pennsylvania’s top NFL teams.
