The Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2025 schedule has been released, revealing a different lineup compared to the previous year. The team will face their AFC North rivals more evenly spread throughout the season, unlike in 2024 when they didn’t encounter any until Week 11 and had three games within an 11-day period, including one on Christmas Day. This year, the Steelers will play just one game on a short week due to a Thursday night matchup against Cincinnati in Week 7.
The Steelers begin their season with a game against the New York Jets in New York, marking the start of Aaron Glenn’s tenure as head coach. Glenn previously served as the Lions’ defensive coordinator. Last season, Pittsburgh defeated the Jets at Acrisure Stadium with a score of 37-15.
In Week 2, Pittsburgh hosts Seattle for their home opener. Historically, they have fared well against the Seahawks in Pittsburgh with a record of 9-3.
Week 3 sees the Steelers travel to New England to take on new head coach Mike Vrabel’s team. The Steelers have struggled there recently but aim to improve their road record against the Patriots.
A notable event is set for Week 4 when Pittsburgh plays its first international game since 2013 by hosting Minnesota in Dublin. Their last overseas game also involved facing off against the Vikings.
After returning from Ireland and having a bye in Week 5, Pittsburgh faces Cleveland at home before heading to Cincinnati for their Thursday night contest.
Pittsburgh’s mid-season schedule includes hosting Green Bay and Indianapolis and traveling to Los Angeles to play against the Chargers. Notably, they haven’t lost at home to Indianapolis since 2008.
Later matchups include two games against Baltimore and meetings with Chicago, Buffalo, Miami, Detroit, and Cleveland. The regular season concludes with another showdown versus Baltimore at Acrisure Stadium.
