The Pittsburgh Steelers have reached an agreement to acquire cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith from the Miami Dolphins. The deal, which is pending physicals, also includes a 2027 seventh-round pick for the Steelers. In return, the Steelers will send safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and a 2027 fifth-round pick to the Dolphins.
Jalen Ramsey, entering his tenth NFL season, is a notable addition to the Steelers’ roster. Over his career, Ramsey has played in 135 games with 134 starts, amassing 534 tackles and 24 interceptions.
Ramsey’s NFL journey began with the Jacksonville Jaguars as their fifth overall pick in the 2016 draft. He later joined the Los Angeles Rams before being traded to Miami in 2023. During his tenure with Miami, he started all of his appearances in 27 games.
Jonnu Smith is set to enter his ninth NFL season after playing for teams including the Tennessee Titans, New England Patriots, Atlanta Falcons, and most recently, the Miami Dolphins.
