The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed cornerback Tre Flowers to their practice squad. Flowers was previously added to the team’s 53-man roster on December 25 but was released earlier this week.
Flowers has played eight seasons in the NFL, participating in 87 games and starting 43 of them. Over his career, he has recorded four interceptions, five forced fumbles, 22 passes defensed, and 270 tackles, with 211 being solo tackles. Most recently, he appeared in two games for the Detroit Lions during the 2025 season.
Originally drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft (146th overall) out of Oklahoma, Flowers spent four seasons with Seattle and started in 40 of his 47 games there. He has also been part of several other teams including the Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts, and Chicago Bears.
Earlier this week, offensive tackle David Sharpe was released from the Steelers’ practice squad as well.
The Steelers compete as a professional team in the National Football League according to their official website. The franchise is based at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh as detailed by team sources.
