The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Mar. 21 that center Ryan McCollum has signed a one-year contract with the team.
This signing continues McCollum’s tenure with the Steelers, where he spent the entire 2025 season on the active roster and appeared in all 17 games. In the previous year, he also played in 17 games and started two when center Zach Frazier was injured. Before joining the main roster, McCollum was part of the Steelers’ practice squad during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
McCollum has played in a total of 47 NFL games, starting three. He began his professional career as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Houston Texans following the 2021 NFL Draft before moving to the Detroit Lions, where he appeared in 13 games and made one start. His college football career was at Texas A&M, where he started ten games at center during his senior year.
