The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed defensive back Quindell Johnson. Johnson, who began his professional career with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent after the 2023 NFL Draft, has had a varied journey in the league. Before the start of the 2023 season, he was claimed off waivers by the Chicago Bears and participated in nine games during his rookie year, securing one interception.

In 2024, Johnson returned to the Rams and spent part of that season on their practice squad. At the beginning of 2025, he signed a Reserve/Future contract with the San Francisco 49ers.

Johnson’s college football tenure at Memphis was notable; he played in 49 games over four seasons. His college career statistics include 320 tackles, with 226 being solo efforts, alongside 15.5 tackles for loss, ten interceptions, and four forced fumbles among other achievements. He earned first-team All-AAC honors in 2022 and second-team All-AAC recognition in both 2020 and 2021.

As part of this roster adjustment, the Steelers released defensive back Joshua Bledsoe.
