The Steelers Hall of Honor Museum at Acrisure Stadium offers an in-depth exploration of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ history. The museum showcases unique artifacts, game-worn uniforms, and replicas of offices belonging to founder Art Rooney Sr. and chairman Daniel M. Rooney.
Central to the museum is the Hall of Honor, displaying bronze footballs representing its 57 members, alongside interactive kiosks providing detailed information about each inductee.
Among the notable exhibits are items from Hall of Famer Rod Woodson. His game-worn jersey and autographed shoes are featured prominently. Woodson was part of the inaugural Hall of Honor Class in 2017. He was drafted by the Steelers in 1987 and played ten seasons with them, finishing his NFL career with 71 interceptions.
Woodson shared his fond memories of Pittsburgh: “Pittsburgh is a different place,” he said. “When I first got here and they drafted me, I was like Pittsburgh? What is that city like? I remember flying in the first time, and it was at night, and I saw all the lights in the city, and I was like, ‘Oh I didn’t think that would be Pittsburgh.'”
He spoke highly of the Rooney family tradition: “When I first got here The Chief, Art Rooney Sr., was still alive… And then Dan Rooney Sr., he started doing it and now Art Rooney II has taken over… Being a part of that is outstanding.”
Woodson also expressed appreciation for Steelers fans: “They loved on the team no matter what our record was… Win, lose or draw, they were going to love us.”
The museum operates Thursday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., accessible via Gate B suite entry above the Steelers Pro Shop.
