The Pittsburgh Steelers are readying for the 2025 NFL Draft, starting tonight in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This year’s draft extends from April 24 to April 26. Fans are able to celebrate the event not only in Pittsburgh at Stage AE but are also gathering in Mexico City and Ireland for the drafts’ respective parties. The organization is hosting its inaugural event in Ireland at Croke Park due to an upcoming season matchup there.

The Steelers have six picks for the 2025 NFL Draft, holding the 21st pick overall. Notably absent are compensatory picks this year, and the team traded their second-round pick to Seattle for DK Metcalf. The selections span from round one to seven, with the 21st pick in the first round, followed by other picks throughout the draft due to trades.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will announce their first-round selection. Following this, legendary Steeler Lynn Swann, part of the historic 1974 draft, will announce the third-round pick. “The Steelers called and made the pick,” recounted Swann about his draft experience.

Steelers legend Brett Keisel will also announce a pick, as he participates in the Steelers Draft Party in Ireland. “It’s a great honor to make a pick for the Pittsburgh Steelers, my team,” Keisel said. Additionally, Tom McCormack, the Steelers International Fan of the Year from Dublin, Ireland, will announce a selection on the draft’s third day.

The Steelers’ digital platforms will provide extensive coverage of the draft, featuring live streams, exclusive interviews, and behind-the-scenes content. Fans attending the Steelers Draft Party at Stage AE can enjoy a live podcast recording by Christian Kuntz with special guests, as well as entertainment and other activities.

Historically, Pittsburgh has often drafted players from the University of Pittsburgh, along with other notable institutions. Pittsburgh has chosen a first-rounder 81 times in the draft’s history, having picked at the 21st slot previously. The organization has picked players such as Terry Bradshaw and Ben Roethlisberger in pivotal positions, leading to significant impacts on the team’s legacy.

Recent selection trends include a focus on the offensive line, with Troy Fautanu being chosen in the first round in recent years. “I think this kid has a lot of upside,” @CowherCBS commented on a past Steelers pick.
