The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing for their upcoming game against the Cincinnati Bengals with a relatively healthy roster. Unlike last week, when they had only three days to prepare, the team has had more time to recover.

Coach Mike Tomlin expressed optimism about the team’s injury situation, stating that “the arrow is pointed up on the injury front.” Outside linebacker Alex Highsmith, who missed the last two games due to an ankle injury, could be nearing a return. However, he did not practice on Wednesday. Tomlin commented, “We’ve got Alex Highsmith leaning in on the return.”

Cornerback Cory Trice Jr., currently on the Reserve/Injured (Designated for Return) List, returned to practice earlier this month after being sidelined with a hamstring injury. Defensive tackle Montravius Adams also returned to practice following a knee injury that placed him on the Reserve/Injured List in October.

Adams has played 92 career games and was originally drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 2017. He later joined teams like the New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints before being claimed by the Steelers.

Tomlin mentioned other players working towards returning: “We’ve got some other guys who are working their way back to us, like Cory Trice and Mont Adams.” He emphasized that having all available players is crucial as December approaches.

Tomlin shared his enthusiasm for playing AFC North games late in the season: “I love them… there’s weight on it,” highlighting his competitive spirit.

The full participation/injury report includes several players from both teams. For Pittsburgh, notable mentions include Alex Highsmith (DNP) and Montravius Adams (Full). The Bengals’ report lists Joe Burrow as fully participating while others like Logan Wilson did not participate due to injuries.
