The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced an extension of their broadcast partnership with Virgin Media Television (VMTV) for the 2025 NFL season. The agreement will provide Irish viewers with access to all three Steelers preseason games and the return of “The Mike Tomlin Show,” which features weekly exclusive insights from the team’s head coach.
Starting this weekend, fans in Ireland can watch the Steelers’ preseason matches on Virgin Media Television. The schedule includes games against the Jacksonville Jaguars on August 9, Tampa Bay Buccaneers on August 16, and Carolina Panthers on August 21, each beginning at 11:30 p.m.
This increased media presence comes ahead of a significant event for the team—a game in Dublin against the Minnesota Vikings on September 28. The match is expected to attract thousands of fans from both Ireland and the United States. It represents a step in the Steelers’ efforts to expand their international reach and strengthen ties with Irish supporters.
Dan Rooney, Vice President of Business Development and Strategy for the Pittsburgh Steelers, said: “The Steelers are excited to be partnering once again with Virgin Media to offer official team programming in Ireland. This will allow us to connect with the growing number of Steelers fans in Ireland by giving them more opportunities to stay engaged with the team before, during and after the Dublin Game in September.”
Brian Gleeson, Head of Sport at Virgin Media Television, added: “We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with the Pittsburgh Steelers, bringing premium team content to Virgin Media audiences. From preseason matchups to The Mike Tomlin Show, fans will enjoy unparalleled access to one of the NFL’s most storied franchises. With the Steelers set to take the field at Croke Park this September, it’s the perfect time for Irish fans to get familiar with this year’s roster and build excitement ahead of their Dublin debut.”
