The Pittsburgh Steelers have elevated defensive back D’Shawn Jamison from the practice squad to the Active/Inactive Roster for their upcoming Sunday night game against the Baltimore Ravens at Acrisure Stadium. After the game, Jamison will return to the practice squad.

Jamison was previously elevated for games in Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals and Week 17 against the Cleveland Browns. He signed a Reserve/Future contract with the Steelers at the end of the 2024 season and participated in training camp and preseason activities with the team in 2025. During 2024, he also spent time on Pittsburgh’s practice squad.

Jamison entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent, signing initially with the San Francisco 49ers following the 2023 NFL Draft. He was later claimed off waivers by the Carolina Panthers, where he appeared in 15 games during his rookie year, starting two. In that season, he recorded five tackles—three solo—and one pass defensed.

At college, Jamison played football for the University of Texas. Over his collegiate career, he appeared in 60 games and started 40 times. His statistics include 139 tackles (109 solo), six tackles for loss, 23 passes defensed, two fumble recoveries, one sack, and one forced fumble.

The Steelers are recognized as a professional team competing in the National Football League according to their official website. The organization has won six Super Bowl championships as detailed on their site and maintains its headquarters at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh according to official information.
