The National Football League (NFL) has announced the dates for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offseason program initiatives for 2025. This program, segmented into three phases, will start on April 21 with voluntary workouts focused on strength and conditioning.

The series of events will conclude with the mandatory veteran minicamp, scheduled for June 10-12. Unfortunately, all activities remain closed to the public.

Organized Team Activities (OTAs) for the Steelers are to occur from May 27 to June 5. The schedule consists of six sessions taking place on the following dates: May 27, May 28, May 29, June 3, June 4, and June 5.

The first phase of the NFL’s offseason program spans two weeks, focusing on meetings, strength training, and physical rehabilitation. It then transitions into the second phase, which lasts three weeks. This phase allows for on-field workouts that include drills and plays without live competitions between teams.

The third and final phase, lasting four weeks, includes ten days of OTAs. During this time, teams can carry out drills like 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11, but live contact remains prohibited according to the “Collective Bargaining Agreement.”

The same agreement allows clubs to conduct one mandatory minicamp for veterans during the third phase. “New head coaches are entitled to conduct an additional voluntary veteran minicamp,” as mentioned in the agreement. Five clubs will exercise this option this year.

For rookies, teams may conduct a seven-week development program. Starting May 12, it prohibits activities on weekends except for a singular rookie minicamp set to occur post the NFL Draft between April 24-26. Details on these rookie minicamps will be released later.
