The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced their inactive players for the Week 15 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. As expected, three players previously ruled out due to injuries are on the list.

Wide receiver George Pickens, safety DeShon Elliott, and defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi will not play. Pickens is sidelined for a second straight game with a hamstring injury, while Elliott also has a hamstring issue and Ogunjobi is dealing with a groin injury.

With Pickens unavailable, other receivers are expected to step up. Calvin Austin III commented on the situation: “We just have to continue to do what we have been doing,” he said. “Play football. Play for each other. All the values that Coach T instilled in us and just stay true to the values and the standards that we hold for ourselves.”

Despite missing Pickens last week, the Steelers managed a victory over the Cleveland Browns at Acrisure Stadium and remain confident in their receiving corps.

“It’s going to be the coaches putting us in the best position, and us taking advantage of the position that we are put in,” Austin added. “Everybody in the receiver room has a different skill set, different strengths, and the coaching staff knows that and knows how to put us in position to show that.”

Coach Mike Tomlin emphasizes teamwork but expects individual contributions as well. “Coach T says you can’t hide in groups, so it is going to take the pack,” Austin noted. “But we’ve been like this since training camp, sticking together. But it’s going to take individuals making sure they’re honed in on their assignment.”

Elliott’s absence impacts run defense significantly. Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick stated: “It’s next man up… We predicate ourselves as a defense that prides ourselves on smashing the run.”

The team has depth with Cameron Sutton and Damontae Kazee ready to fill gaps left by Elliott’s absence.

“All the guys we have in our secondary, we’ve played a lot of ball together,” Fitzpatrick mentioned.

To compensate for Ogunjobi’s absence, Montravius Adams has been activated from Reserve/Injured (Designated for Return) List after recovering from a knee injury sustained earlier this season.

Adams was initially drafted by Green Bay Packers during 2017 NFL Draft before joining New England Patriots then New Orleans Saints prior being claimed off practice squad by Steelers.

Cornerback Cory Trice Jr., along with third quarterback Kyle Allen also feature among those listed inactive today:
