With the start of the NFL season, Acrisure Stadium and the Pittsburgh Steelers have announced a series of upgrades and new features for fans attending games in 2025.
“We are committed to constant improvement across every part of our business,” said Ryan Huzjak, the Steelers Senior Vice President of Business Operations. “By listening to our fans and acting on their feedback, we’re making meaningful changes to enhance their game day experience. Our goal is never to stand still, but to keep raising the bar.”
Among the most noticeable additions is a 44 x 25-yard football field located outside the stadium near Gate A Lawn. This new space will be used during events related to the 2026 NFL Draft and by both the Steelers and University of Pittsburgh on event and game days.
A new marquee videoboard has been installed along Art Rooney Avenue on the East side of Acrisure Stadium. The board will display graphics and scores during games and will also play a role in activities for the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft.
Fans can expect improved connectivity thanks to an upgraded Wi-Fi system provided by Extreme Networks, which now includes more than 1,300 access points throughout the stadium.
In terms of concessions, new food stands have been added in several upper sections, offering items such as pulled pork nachos with jalapenos and cilantro lime crema. The UPMC Club and West Club areas now feature Steel City Markets with self-checkout options for traditional game day foods. New chef-crafted sandwiches called Pick 6 Sammies are also available in these club sections.
Additional updates include:
– An official 2026 NFL Draft Countdown Clock installed on the North Shore Great Lawn.
– The 2026 NFL Draft Mobile Exhibit displayed on Art Rooney Avenue during Steelers game days, highlighting local football history.
– A new exhibit at the Steelers Hall of Honor Museum commemorating the 20th anniversary of Super Bowl XL.
– A Terrible Towel wall installation in FedEx Great Hall marking its 50th anniversary.
– Expanded merchandise offerings at the Steelers Pro Shop, including exclusive collections and a new Terrible Towel Kiosk inside Gate C (Heinz Gate).
The stadium’s technology has also seen enhancements. Features within Acrisure Stadium Mode on the Steelers mobile app now include a virtual assistant, push notifications for stadium news, parking reservations via JustPark, real-time safety reporting, mobile ordering at select concessions, and a lost & found icon for reporting missing items.
ChargeFuze Stations have been updated or added in various locations around Acrisure Stadium to help fans keep their devices charged during events.
For entertainment, an updated graphics package for the scoreboard show promises a more immersive visual experience. Fans will also see a new team entry video before player introductions and benefit from an improved replay system that offers multiple camera angles.
Several popular programs are returning for 2025:
– The Student Rush program provides college students with affordable standing room tickets for each home game along with opportunities to win autographed memorabilia or sideline passes.
– Commemorative tickets will again be available for each game.
– Ten commemorative posters created with Commonwealth Press will be released—one per home game plus special editions.
– The Three Rivers Stadium Display remains open on the West Main Concourse featuring lockers from former players.
– Year-round tours of Acrisure Stadium continue to be offered, including special behind-the-scenes experiences on game day weekends.
