DK Metcalf, a prominent NFL receiver, was acquired by the Pittsburgh Steelers through a trade with the Seattle Seahawks at the beginning of free agency. Metcalf, who entered the league when drafted by the Seahawks in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, spent six seasons with Seattle before signing a new five-year contract with his current team.
Throughout his career, Metcalf has participated in 97 games and started 93 of them. His performance includes 438 receptions for 6,324 yards, averaging 14.4 yards per catch and scoring 48 touchdowns. Among these are three touchdowns longer than 70 yards, including an impressive career-long touchdown of 84 yards. He boasts 15 games where he exceeded 100 receiving yards, notably achieving a career-high of 177 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020.
Metcalf is recognized alongside Hall of Famer Randy Moss as one of only two players in NFL history to record at least 50 receptions, over 900 yards, and five touchdowns each season for their first six years.
Football talent runs in Metcalf’s family; his father Terrence Metcalf played as an offensive lineman in the NFL after being drafted by the Chicago Bears in the third round of the 2002 NFL Draft. During his seven-season tenure with the Bears and brief periods with both Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints, he appeared in a total of 75 games with 25 starts. DK is also related to former NFL stars Eric Metcalf and Terry Metcalf.
In addition to football prowess, DK Metcalf showcased another side on The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Big Game in 2025. He joined fellow NFL players along with actress Amy Smart and ESPN’s Katie Nolan on this reality baking competition show. Reflecting on his culinary interests inspired by watching his father prepare meals like chicken marsala, Metcalf shared that he developed cooking skills from observing both parents cook.
