Rep. Summer Lee, who represents Pennsylvania’s 12th district in the U.S. Congress, used her social media account to highlight constituent services and express gratitude to her community at the turn of the new year.
On December 31, 2025, Lee posted about her office’s efforts to assist local residents with various federal issues. She wrote, “Helping constituents navigate federal agencies remains one of my top priorities. This year, my office assisted thousands of PA-12 residents with issues involving Social Security, Medicare, veterans benefits, passports, immigration services, and more. On January 1, 2026, Lee marked the start of the new year by addressing her constituents directly. She stated: “Happy New Year, PA! As I look back on this year, I’m so grateful for our community across PA-12. From senior center convenings to workforce development programs to student-led town halls, the work that our neighbors are doing to care for and uplift each other is inspiring.”
Summer Lee has served in Congress since 2023 after replacing Mike Doyle as representative for Pennsylvania’s 12th district. Prior to joining Congress, she was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2019 to 2022. Born in Pittsburgh in 1987 and currently residing in Swissvale, Lee earned her BA from Pennsylvania State University in 2009 and received a JD from Howard University in 2015.
