Rep. Summer Lee, who represents Pennsylvania’s 12th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on her official social media account between April 15 and April 16, 2026. The posts covered topics ranging from educational environments in under-resourced communities to corporate practices in the music industry and job opportunities within her team.

On April 15, Lee reflected on her upbringing and its influence on her perspective regarding school environments: “Growing up in the Mon Valley, I’ve seen how our environments shape what our children believe is possible and for too many students, especially in under-resourced communities, schoolyards are just concrete and heat, not places that invite curiosity, creativity, or connection.”

Later that day, she commented on recent developments involving major ticketing companies: “Ticketmaster and Live Nation have abused their power for years, exploiting musicians, fans, and the industry as a whole so they can make a profit. This is a huge win for music-lovers, artists, and everyone in the fight against corruption and corporate greed.”

On April 16, Lee announced an employment opportunity with her office: “We’re hiring! Our team is looking for a Digital Assistant/Manager to join our team and help shape our communications platforms, social media presence, and digital outreach. Apply today at https://t.co/vtkmqsPOzr.”

Lee has served as U.S. Representative since 2023 after succeeding Mike Doyle. Before joining Congress, she was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2019 to 2022. Born in Pittsburgh in 1987 and currently residing in Swissvale at age 35, Lee holds degrees from Pennsylvania State University (BA) and Howard University (JD).
