On Friday, March 21, former Pittsburgh Science And Technology Academy 6-12 standout Chad Helwich’s current college team, the California Vulcans, won 15-2 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Lock Haven Bald Eagles.
The game took place at Wild Things Park. This was their first matchup against the Bald Eagles this season.
The Vulcans’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 21 at 3:30 p.m. at Wild Things Park against Lock Haven Bald Eagles.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. to a one-year contract following his stint on their practice squad last season. Samuel brings experience from both his time with the Los Angeles Chargers and Florida State University. The signing adds depth to a team recognized for its championship history.
