Penguins trade Alex Nedeljkovic for Sharks’ 2028 third-round draft pick

The Pittsburgh Penguins have obtained a 2028 third-round draft pick from the San Jose Sharks. In return, they have traded goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic. This transaction was confirmed by Kyle Dubas, the President of Hockey Operations and General Manager of the Penguins.

With this new acquisition, the Penguins now possess nine selections in the 2028 NHL Draft. These include Pittsburgh’s original seven picks and San Jose’s third- and fifth-round selections.

Overall, Pittsburgh has accumulated 28 draft picks over the next three NHL drafts. This total includes 16 selections in the first three rounds.
