The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced the signing of forward Justin Brazeau and defensemen Parker Wotherspoon and Caleb Jones to two-year contracts. This was confirmed by Kyle Dubas, President of Hockey Operations and General Manager.
Justin Brazeau, 27, will remain with the team through the 2026-27 season with an average annual value of $1.5 million. Last season, he played for both the Minnesota Wild and Boston Bruins, recording 11 goals and 11 assists in 76 games. Over his NHL career, Brazeau has accumulated 16 goals and 13 assists in 95 games. Before joining the NHL, he spent five seasons in the American Hockey League (AHL) with Toronto and Providence.
Parker Wotherspoon also signed a contract through the 2026-27 season with an average annual value of $1 million. The defenseman played in 55 games for the Boston Bruins last season, contributing one goal and six assists. Wotherspoon has been part of the NHL since 2022, playing for both the Bruins and New York Islanders.
Caleb Jones’s contract extends through the same period with an average annual value of $900,000. In the previous season, Jones split his time between the Los Angeles Kings and their AHL affiliate, Ontario Reign. He played six games for Los Angeles while participating in 44 regular-season games at the AHL level.
Jones has represented his country internationally, winning gold medals at both the World Junior Championship in 2017 and World Under-18 Championship in 2015.
