The Pittsburgh Penguins are set to resume play following the Olympic break with a home game against the New Jersey Devils at PPG Paints Arena. The game is scheduled for February 26, with puck drop at 7 PM and doors opening an hour earlier.

Fans can watch the matchup on SNP or listen via 105.9 The X and the Penguins app. The team is collaborating with UPMC Heart & Vascular Institute for Check Your Heart Night, distributing oven mitts to the first 7,500 attendees as part of a campaign to raise awareness about heart disease.

This event also marks the 15th annual Penguins Charity Game. For the first time since 2020, Black Penguins Charity Bags will be available for purchase at PPG Paints Arena’s Highmark Gate upon entry. A valid ticket to the game is required for in-person purchases, while additional charity bags will be sold online beginning at 5:30 PM through www.pittsburghpenguinsfoundation.org.

Sidney Crosby Team Canada jerseys and St. Patrick’s Day merchandise will be featured at PensGear during the game.

The Penguins currently hold a record of 29-15-12, while their opponents from New Jersey stand at 28-28-2. Since March 2021, Pittsburgh has earned points in most games against New Jersey and has performed strongly in recent home games.

Several notable achievements and updates were highlighted ahead of this contest:

Bryan Rust leads his personal scoring against any team when facing New Jersey, accumulating 34 points over his career matchups.
Anthony Mantha has recorded significant points against New Jersey as well.
Members of Pittsburgh’s staff and players—including Madison Nikkel (Team USA), Sidney Crosby (Team Canada), Kyle Dubas (Team Canada), and Sean Young (Team Canada)—recently medaled at Milano Cortina 2026.
Pittsburgh’s penalty kill remains effective, neutralizing most penalties over their last stretch of games.
Recent acquisition Samuel Girard joined from Colorado Avalanche along with a future draft pick in exchange for Brett Kulak. Girard brings Stanley Cup experience and consistent performance across his NHL career.
Evgeni Malkin has maintained a strong point streak during home games, positioning him among league leaders in this category.
Ben Kindel stands out as one of the league’s top goal scorers since late January.
Egor Chinakhov quickly made an impact since joining Pittsburgh at the start of January.
Rickard Rakell approaches his 300th career assist milestone; Kris Letang nears his own landmark with three points shy of reaching 800 career points—an achievement only managed by a select group of defensemen historically.
Sidney Crosby continues to lead all active players in scoring against New Jersey; Evgeni Malkin ranks third among active players for this matchup.
Defensemen Erik Karlsson and Kris Letang have been notably productive when playing against New Jersey as well.

The National Aviary will partner with the team for an educational initiative during tonight’s event as part of community engagement efforts—a reflection of how the franchise forms an important part of Pittsburgh’s sports culture through strong community ties.

Home games take place at PPG Paints Arena—a central venue in downtown Pittsburgh—as noted by the official website. The organization itself features Hall of Fame figures among its players, coaches, and executives under ownership by Fenway Sports Group (source). Over recent years, Pittsburgh has maintained regular playoff appearances and division titles (official site).
