The Pittsburgh Penguins will continue their three-game homestand by facing the Philadelphia Flyers at PPG Paints Arena on January 15, 2026. Doors are scheduled to open at 6 PM, with puck drop set for 7 PM. The game is presented by BetRivers Online Casino and Sportsbook along with Rivers Casino. The first 7,500 fans aged 21 or older in attendance will receive Casino Night playing cards.

Fans can watch the game on ESPN or listen via 105.9 The X and the Penguins app.

Currently, the Penguins have a record of 21-14-10 while the Flyers stand at 22-15-8. Pittsburgh has earned points in 11 of its last 13 games against Philadelphia (8-2-3) and has a strong home record against them, with points in ten consecutive home matchups (8-0-2) since March 6, 2021.

Among individual performances, Bryan Rust has accumulated 29 points (12 goals and 17 assists) over his career against Philadelphia, including five goals and nine assists in his last ten meetings. Kris Letang leads all defensemen in NHL history for points scored against the Flyers since entering the league in 2006-07, with a total of 55. His plus-minus rating of +32 versus Philadelphia ranks second only to Bobby Orr’s +37.

Egor Chinakhov has contributed three points (two goals and one assist) in seven games since joining Pittsburgh from Columbus earlier this season. Evgeni Malkin has tallied a total of 97 points (32 goals and 65 assists) across his career when playing against the Flyers.

Sidney Crosby is nearing another milestone as he sits one point away from reaching fifty for this season—a mark that would tie him with Alex Ovechkin for most seasons at that level among active players (19), ranking tied for sixth all-time.

“Penguins Captain Sidney Crosby has done some of his best work against the Philadelphia Flyers throughout his career. In 92 career games, Crosby has 59 goals, 78 assists and 137 points. His 59 goals and his 137 points are the most in NHL history versus Philadelphia.”

Crosby currently leads Pittsburgh in both goals (24) and overall points (49) through forty-five games this season.

On defense, Brett Kulak’s partnership with Kris Letang has resulted in improved team performance; since their pairing began following Kulak’s acquisition, Pittsburgh holds a record of seven wins, four losses, and one overtime loss.

Goaltender Stuart Skinner remains effective after the Christmas break—winning three out of four starts while allowing only one goal per game during that stretch.

Rickard Rakell is close to reaching two hundred career points as a Penguin; he would become just the second Swedish-born player to do so for Pittsburgh.

PPG Paints Arena serves as home ice for these matchups—a venue central to both fan engagement and community presence for the franchise (official website). Since its founding in 1967, Pittsburgh’s professional hockey organization has earned several Stanley Cup championships (official website) while fostering youth development programs (official website).
