The Allegheny Health Network Primary Care Institute announced on May 28 that it will begin offering Express Care services every day of the week at the AHN Peters Township Health + Wellness Pavilion starting Monday, June 1. This initiative marks the first phase of AHN’s plan to expand convenient, walk-in Express Care services across its network.

The new clinic, located within the pavilion’s primary care office in suite 300, will provide treatment for non-urgent conditions such as colds, coughs, sore throats, rashes, pink eye, minor muscle strains, and injuries requiring X-ray imaging. Services are available to patients of all ages from Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., and on weekends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with no appointment necessary.

AHN Primary Care at the Peters Township Health + Wellness Pavilion is the first of several primary care facilities in the region scheduled to offer Express Care. This addition joins eight existing Express Care or Urgent Care locations operated by AHN. On July 1, another Express Care clinic will open at AHN Primary Care – Westmoreland at Nature Park Road in Greensburg. Additional sites expected to launch soon include locations in Jefferson Hills, Monroeville (Forbes Family), and Union City.

“When a non-urgent health issue arises, we understand how challenging it can be to find time to properly address it. Express Care provides a vital solution for everyday health concerns, ensuring our patients can receive high-quality care when and where it’s most convenient for them,” said Amy Crawford-Faucher, MD, chair of AHN Primary Care Institute. “We are excited to launch Express Care at the Peters Health + Wellness Pavilion, and look forward to continually expanding the service across communities served by AHN.”

Patients needing urgent care outside normal hours can schedule virtual urgent care visits via MyChart accounts; those experiencing serious emergencies should call 911 or visit an emergency department.

Allegheny Health Network advances community health by serving patients across 29 Pennsylvania counties and parts of neighboring states; manages 14 hospitals with over 2,500 beds and more than 22,000 employees; operates nine surgical centers and multiple health pavilions; delivers comprehensive health care services across various specialties; holds Magnet designation for nursing excellence at several hospitals; and operates under Highmark Health, according to the official website.
