AHN Saint Vincent Hospital is marking its 150th anniversary with a community event named “150FEST” on Saturday, July 12. The celebration will occur from noon to 4 p.m. on the hospital grounds and is open to the public at no cost.
The carnival aims to honor AHN Saint Vincent’s past and future alongside employees, their families, and the Erie community. It will feature food trucks, craft vendors, kids’ activities, and music broadcasted live by Happi radio.
Children attending can enjoy a petting zoo, bubble wands, temporary tattoos, face painting, popcorn, snow cones, a bounce house, and an obstacle course. Characters such as Bluey and Bingo from the TV show “Bluey,” along with Stitch from “Lilo & Stitch,” will make appearances.
Attendees have the opportunity to leave handprints on a banner celebrating the hospital’s legacy. Additionally, a time capsule will be prepared for opening in 2050.
“Everyone at AHN Saint Vincent is so excited to invite Erie families to be a part of our 150th anniversary celebration because they are the reason we exist,” stated Dr. Chris Clark, President of AHN Saint Vincent. “We hope they will join us to celebrate a century and a half of commitment, compassion, and quality care in our community.”
Parking is free for attendees at various locations including the AHN Cancer Center lot at 26th and Myrtle streets’ corner; Chest Diseases parking lot at 26th and Sassafras streets’ northeast corner; and another lot at 24th and Sassafras streets’ northeast corner.
