Allegheny Health Network (AHN) Cancer Institute is set to conduct its monthly Saturday cancer screening clinic on July 19, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Registration for the event begins today and is open to both AHN and non-AHN patients. Appointments can be made by calling 412-359-6665, and the clinic welcomes individuals with or without insurance.

The screening event offers up to seven types of cancer screenings in one day at a single location. These include breast cancer for ages 40-74, cervical cancer for ages 21-65, colorectal cancer for ages 45-75, head and neck cancers for those aged 18 and above, lung cancer for ages 50-80 with a history of smoking, prostate cancer for ages 45-75, and skin cancer for those aged 18 and older.

In the previous year, the event attracted 66 patients who underwent a total of 223 screenings. Out of these, 181 results were normal while 42 indicated abnormalities that required further testing.

Future events are scheduled at different locations: Wexford Health + Wellness Pavilion on August 16, Saint Vincent in Erie on September 13, and Grove City on October 11.

Since its inception in 2014, the AHN Cancer Institute has been providing comprehensive one-stop cancer screenings. The program’s success has led to monthly offerings across Western Pennsylvania over the past four years.

For those unable to attend the Saturday clinics, appointments for comprehensive screenings are available at Jefferson Hospital and Forbes Hospital by calling the same number provided above.
