Allegheny Health Network (AHN) has announced the appointment of two new Chief Nursing Officers. Jill M. Muir will assume the role at AHN Saint Vincent Hospital and AHN Grove City Hospital starting July 14, while Heather Ambrose will take on the position at AHN Allegheny General Hospital beginning June 23.
Muir comes to AHN with extensive experience in nursing administration, quality improvement, and patient care. Her most recent position was as Chief Nursing Officer for Penn Highlands DuBois, Penn Highlands Clearfield, and Penn Highlands Brookville hospitals. She has also held roles such as Director of Acute Care Services at Indiana Regional Medical Center and Manager of Disease/Complex Management at Highmark Health.
“Jill’s commitment to nursing excellence and her leadership experience will be invaluable to AHN Saint Vincent and Grove City Hospital,” stated Dr. Chris Clark, President of AHN Saint Vincent and Grove City. “We are confident that she will foster a culture of compassion, innovation, and collaboration.”
Muir holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree among other qualifications.
Heather Ambrose brings a strong background in healthcare leadership to her new role at AHN Allegheny General Hospital. She previously served as director of nursing at UPMC Magee-Women’s Hospital where she excelled in fostering a service-oriented culture focused on employee engagement, quality, and patient safety.

Ambrose holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice along with several certifications in executive nursing practice.
