Carnegie Mellon University's Spring Carnival made a vibrant return with the theme "Arcade: Let the Games Begin" over the past weekend. The event showcased a variety of activities that brought joy to the CMU community. Among the highlights were traditional favorites like Douse-a-Dean, Mobot, Booth, and Buggy, with Douse-a-Dean supporting the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania.

The 2024 Tartans on the Rise honorees were also celebrated during the festivities. Among the recognitions, Ananya Kapur and Carter Sharer were acknowledged for their outstanding contributions. The event was not just about games and honors but also featured a doggie costume contest that charmed the Carnival-goers.

One of the special guests at the Spring Carnival was the renowned scientist Bill Nye, who took the time to engage with the Iris lunar rover team on campus. The community was excited to have such an esteemed figure present at the event.
