 New parent basic training such as newborn care, feeding, and infant behavior are included with an emphasis on safety and health promotion. Parents-to-be have an opportunity to practice these skills on a baby doll. Recommended during the second trimester of pregnancy, but may be taken at any time before birth. This class will boost your confidence while preparing for the arrival of your baby. CPT Code S9444

*Price listed is for Birthing person and their Support person.  Although an individual Birthing person may attend the class.

 *Please register ONLY the name of the primary attendee for this class.  If you are bringing a partner please note that person's name in the registration question.*

*Masking will be required throughout the class

*We have baby dolls available for practicing skills but are unable to share cloth blankets and washcloths due to infection control policy.  If you have either of these on hand, please bring them, otherwise we will be using disposable supplies.

If any class needs to be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather or increased Covid cases, we will conduct the class in the virtual format  of Microsoft TEAMS. The class will be notified of this by email.  If a virtual class is not to your liking, please inform us and we can refund.  Please call 412 641-8096 with questions.

Covid-19 Information and Guidelines for all in-person Prenatal Classes: As precautionary measures we will be requiring masking at all times.

We ask that if you have any COVID 19 Symptoms you refrain from taking the in-person class at this time. For Covid related cancellations, class credit or a refund will be issued.  Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19: Fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, nasal congestion, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. 

We will be doing contact tracing and ask that if you participate in an in-person class and test positive for Covid-19 within 2 days after the class that you contact Consumer Education Department at 412-641-8096. Your information will remain confidential.
