Allegheny County will be holding a virtual career fair next month where job seekers will be able to examine a wide variety of jobs, take part in interviews and find the position right for them in the county system.

The virtual fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, County Manager William D. McKain said in a recent announcement. No software is necessary for people to take part, but they will need internet access. Participants can join on a computer, mobile device or tablet. Registration is currently underway and runs through Dec. 6.

“Our employees are our greatest assets and are absolutely imperative to providing the services that our residents rely on and need,” McKain said. “This virtual job fair allows job seekers to learn more about careers in the county and the opportunities that exist for them. We continue to be in a highly competitive job market and are working hard to reach prospective employees. Register today and join us on December 6 to learn more about positions within the county.”

There will be 26 virtual booths for job seekers to visit, with information about more than 230 positions spanning County offices all across the board. Participants can talk with County representatives and take part in one-on-one virtual interviews.

The event will be open all day for 30 days following the fair, with no live staff. This is a chance for people looking for jobs to go back to information about positions.
